Therapy Outside the Box

Kelvin Rivera, MA

Licensed Mental Health Counselor

You deserve a space where you don’t have to filter who you are.

I work with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of who they’re becoming. Together, we explore identity, anxiety, grief, the impact of ADHD, the roots of trauma, depression, relationships, and the deeper “why” behind your patterns and struggles. My approach blends existential therapy, body awareness, and geek culture to make the work both meaningful and grounded.

Therapy with me isn’t about fixing you—it’s about understanding your story, exploring what matters to you, and reconnecting with the parts of yourself you’ve learned to hide. Whether you’re navigating major transitions, relationship challenges, or the quiet feeling that life should feel more than it does, you’re not alone.

Individual Therapy

Invest in your relationship with yourself

A person sitting on a dark gray couch with hands clasped and elbows resting on their knees, in a warmly lit room with wooden flooring and a wooden bookcase.

A steady place to talk through anxiety, stress, overwhelm, or patterns that keep showing up in your life. Kelvin helps you understand your emotions, build healthier coping skills, and make sense of what’s driving your reactions. Sessions focus on practical tools, clearer communication, and grounded support so you can feel more balanced, calm, and in control of your life.

Couples Therapy

Rebuild trust and connection

Slow down, talk openly, and work through the patterns that keep getting in the way. Many couples come in feeling unheard, stuck in repeating arguments, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward. You’ll learn how to communicate more effectively, understand each other’s needs, repair emotional ruptures, and create new ways of relating that feel supportive instead of reactive. Whether you’re navigating conflict, stress, life transitions, or simply want to strengthen your relationship, therapy can help you build a more connected, resilient partnership.

Couples Therapy

Thaina Cordero, PhD

Sexologist & Somatic Coach

I support individuals, couples, and non-monogamous relationships who want to feel more connected—to themselves, their bodies, and each other. My work isn’t therapy or diagnosis; I draw from Clinical Sexology and somatic practices to help with intimacy, communication, stress, desire differences, kink, and feeling more at ease in your life. We slow down, notice what’s happening in your body and mind, and make sense of what shapes your patterns so you can bring ease and pleasure into your life.

Sexology

Explore your sexuality with ease

A supportive space to explore your desires, concerns, and patterns without shame. I help individuals, couples, and non-monogamous relationships with sexuality, desire differences, communication during sex, pain or discomfort, feeling disconnected in intimacy, or exploring kink and non-traditional relationships. Together, we talk openly about what you want, what’s getting in the way, and how stress, history, and relationship patterns show up in the bedroom. Sessions focus on practical tools to help you feel more at ease with your sexuality and build a more connected, pleasurable intimate life.

Somatic Coaching

Regulate your nervous system

Stress, overwhelm, and old patterns often live in the body long before we put them into words. Somatic coaching creates space to notice what your body is telling you so you can respond with more clarity instead of reacting on autopilot. Through mindful awareness, breath, and body-based practices, we explore how your nervous system shapes communication, relationships, desire, and daily life. This work helps you regulate more effectively, feel more present, and take ownership of your choices from a grounded place.
